WHO/WHAT: Do you find purpose in those quiet morning hours — the ones where you help little humans start their day with confidence and comfort? Can you picture yourself being the steady, reassuring presence in a home where a single mom is juggling a lot with love, humor, and grit? If yes… this might be the role where your heart fits just right.

This sweet blended family is navigating a full and beautiful rhythm — two kids, two homes, and two parents who want the very best for their little crew. And around here? Mornings matter. Helping the kids wake up gently, get dressed and fed, and head out into the world without chaos is the biggest gift you could give.

Their 8-year-old daughter is full of personality — affectionate, expressive, and never shy about showing what she loves. She’s non-verbal and non-ambulatory, receives most of her nutrition through a G-tube, and occasionally experiences seizures. She’ll need your help with dressing, transfers (she’s about 70 lbs), and simple care routines to start her day peacefully. No medical experience required — Mom provides all training. What matters most is empathy, respect, and a willing heart. Her brother is five— a Lego-builder, mini chef, and the sweetest helper you’ll ever meet. Making his sister smile is his superpower. Together, they’ll start your day with the kind of sibling bond that could melt anyone’s heart.

When the kids are with their dad, Mom would love a hand keeping the home feeling calm and cared for: laundry, grocery runs, vacuuming, a little meal prep, organizing resets, and caring for the cats (and soon… a puppy!). Your support gives her the margin to breathe — to come home to a tidy space and focus on the snuggles, the belly laughs, and those dance-party-in-the-kitchen moments. Because the kids split their time between homes, you’ll provide childcare two mornings one week and three the next. The remaining guaranteed hours are flexible — you can spend them helping around the house on mornings off or stay later after drop-off to support the household. Flexibility goes both ways here!

THE IDEAL NANNY IS…someone who sees caregiving as both a purpose and a privilege. You’re the calm in the morning rush — the steady presence who knows how to turn a busy start into a confident stride forward. You are patient, intuitive, and pay attention to what children are saying… even when they don’t use words. You’re strong enough to lift with confidence, and gentle enough to make every transition feel safe. You aren’t intimidated by differences — in fact, you honor them. You understand that dignity looks like asking before assisting, celebrating small victories, and recognizing the fierce spirit inside a little girl who communicates her heart in her own remarkable way.

You’re reliable — especially at 5:30 a.m. when this family needs you most — and flexible when life shifts around the edges. You take initiative, notice the little things, and find satisfaction in supporting a household so a hard-working mom can exhale. If you love giggles over breakfast, Disney soundtracks in the background, and the beautiful bond between siblings who adore each other… you’ll fit right in here. And if you’re looking for a role where you know — truly know — that what you do matters every single day? Then these two sweet kiddos can’t wait to start their mornings with you.
