WHO/WHAT: We’re thrilled to support this incredible family as they search for a long-term after-school nanny! With two active, sports-loving kids (a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl), this family is looking for a dependable, warm, and proactive nanny who can provide structure, support, and fun after a busy school day. The parents both work full-time and value a strong, trusting relationship with their caregiver—they had the same nanny (whom they adored!) for SEVEN years and are hoping for another long-term partnership! The children are energetic and active—he loves all things sports and anything active, and she’s equally eager to keep up with her big brother. After school, the routine includes school pickup, snacks, help with homework, and driving to activities like baseball/softball and piano lessons. The family thrives with structure and would love someone who can bring a calm, confident presence to the afternoon routine. In addition to childcare, they’d appreciate support with children’s laundry, light vacuuming, starting dinner, and a few quick pet-care tasks (feeding and letting their sweet dog outside for a potty break).
They can guarantee hours from 3:00–6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, although they typically only need help four afternoons a week. That said, they’re very open to building a schedule that works well for the right person. Looking to round out your week with something steady? They’re open to discussing the possibility of full-time hours in the summer as well. What matters most to them is finding the right person—they’re happy to be creative with a part-time schedule that works well for both sides.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS…Trustworthy, punctual, and full of common sense. You’re a warm, kind-hearted person who can keep a structured day on track while still making things fun. You’re confident managing the ins and outs of busy afternoons, enjoy being around elementary-aged kids, and don’t mind pitching in around the house when things get busy. You’re flexible with occasional schedule changes, comfortable driving to local activities, and calm in a home that runs best with routine. This is a great role for someone who’s excited about becoming a consistent and valued part of a tight-knit family—someone who can help with homework one minute, talk about a homerun the next, and always show up with care and reliability.
