WHO/WHAT:  If “Better Together” by Jack Johnson makes your heart melt every time, you might have just found your next family. This German Village crew blends old-soul charm with modern rhythm and is searching for a nurturing, flexible nanny to join their home as they welcome their second little boy this winter. Come February, the house will be filled with baby snuggles, toddler giggles, and that magical mix of organized chaos only “two under two” can bring. Their 16-month-old is a curious explorer who loves music, movement, and independent play, and baby brother will soon join the fun.

Mom will be home on maternity leave from February through mid-August while Dad balances work, fitness, and his endless stack of history books. You’ll plan a mix of engaging, developmentally rich activities—stacking blocks, reading stories, listening to music, and exploring outside for neighborhood outings. When the weather’s nice, you might walk to the park or head out to story time at the library. During nap time, you’ll tidy up toys, wash bottles, sweep the main floor, and keep the kitchen shining. Light household help and keeping the day running smoothly will make a big difference. When Mom’s home, you’ll tag-team care between the toddler, baby, and dog—offering calm, capable support for diaper changes, playtime, with the as-needed stroll outside with the pup. This family loves the occasional outing to COSI, Franklin Park Conservatory, or the pool once summer hits. They hope to find someone who enjoys little adventures and loves being part of a thoughtful, close-knit household.

THE IDEAL NANNY IS… BALANCED!  You’re upbeat, animated, and loving—but also pragmatic and grounded. You know when to let curiosity lead the day and when to gently set limits (“no” when a rock is headed toward the mouth, but “oh, thank you!” when the TV remote needs kindly wrangled from toddler hands). Life with two under two doesn’t faze you—you see it as double the laughter, double the milestones, and double the heart-melting moments. You help little ones grow their language and emotional skills through play, books, and song. You’re adaptable, nurturing, organized—and you communicate easily with parents who value openness, humor, and partnership. You also love dogs and know they need a little love too. This family hopes to find someone who will grow alongside them for the next year or two, building a bond that feels more like extended family. If you love a home where Jack Johnson and Post Malone coexist on the playlist, where kindness is a daily practice, and where your care genuinely shapes two growing hearts—this is the family for you.
