WHO/WHAT: Stop scrolling. This one’s special. Are you a career nanny who loves the newborn stage, thrives with both structure and spontaneity, and believes life is better with big dogs and fresh air? If so, this Highland Park role may have your name on it. These two physicians are smart, grounded, delightfully unique, and wildly devoted to their dogs.
Both parents work outside the home in demanding roles that can occasionally run long or shift. Some days they’ll be home early; other days may stretch. What matters most? Communication. They’re calm, thoughtful adults who prefer proactive conversations over pent-up frustration. No short fuses. No drama. Just partnership.
Your days will revolve around all things baby — soothing, feeding, guiding naps, and building a steady, loving rhythm. As baby grows, they envision outings, playdates, camps, and lots of time outdoors. This is not a stay-inside-all-week family. They love fresh air, walks, community, and adventure. And yes — they travel. Often. With close friends scattered across the globe, they make it a priority to see them each year and would love a nanny excited to travel alongside them (all expenses paid). If there’s downtime for you to explore? They’re completely supportive.
Now, the four-legged children. Two deeply loved Weimaraners. One affectionate adult with a gift for detecting snacks. One long-limbed puppy who frequently initiates cuddles via joyful body slam. They’ll be your shadows. Backyard breaks and possible dinner feeds are part of the rhythm (a dog walker comes midday), and loving big dogs is essential. Household tasks are baby-focused: children’s laundry, washing bottles, light pet care — just enough to keep a busy physician home humming.
This social, warm family hopes for a nanny to stay 2–3 years, possibly longer as their family grows. They’re looking for someone steady yet flexible, confident yet kind — someone who can hold structure but pivot when life calls an audible.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS…ADAPTABLE! You’re proactive and don’t wait to be told what needs to be done. You’re confident enough to take ownership of the day but collaborative enough to communicate openly. You’re reliable, punctual, and full of common sense. You understand that physician schedules can change in an instant and you roll with it calmly. You love the outdoors. You love babies. You love big dogs. You love building something long-term. A second language would earn you some extra sparkle points — but it’s not required. Most importantly, you’re looking for more than just a job. You want to grow with a family who respects you, values you, and treats you like a true partner. Three-day weekends. Global travel. Two Weimaraner shadows. If this sounds like your kind of adventure, APPLY today. ✨🐾
