  • All major holidays + Black Friday, Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve

WHO/WHAT: Wanted: One exceptional human willing to spend their weekdays making childhood ridiculously fun. Must be willing to take sidewalk chalk seriously, recognize couch cushions as legitimate building materials, and understand that sometimes the only reasonable response to a rainy afternoon is a dance party.

Your two new sidekicks are 5 and 2—two very fun ages with two very different agendas! Big sister is imaginative, active, and off to preschool during the school year, while her little sibling is busy discovering just about everything. Together, their best days include plenty of fresh air, neighborhood walks, bike rides, backyard adventures, crafts, music, and whatever fun you bring to the mix.

And there’s plenty to love about the grown-up side of this job, too: 36 guaranteed hours, a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, a 4:30 pm finish, and parents who genuinely want their nanny to take the lead. Both parents work from home several days each week, but they're not looking for another set of hands to manage—they're looking for someone they can trust, give space to, and confidently say, “You've got this.”

Your primary focus is the kids, with the usual supporting cast of kid-related tasks: children's laundry, cleaning up from meals and activities, emptying the dishwasher, light tidying, and occasionally letting their big, friendly Boxer outside.

But here's perhaps the best part: they're not looking to do this all over again next year. Their hope is to find someone who wants to settle in, build a genuine bond with their children, and stay through the little one's preschool years. If you've been waiting for a family where you can truly put down roots, this could be it.

THE IDEAL NANNY IS… Playful enough to build the fort, responsible enough to make sure everyone gets to preschool on time, and experienced enough to know that with little kids, the plan is sometimes just a starting point.

You're the nanny who notices the sun is shining and says, “Let's get outside!” You don't mind getting down on the floor to play, pulling out the craft supplies, pushing swings for the hundredth time, or turning on music and starting an impromptu kitchen dance party.

You're also someone who just gets it. You notice the children's laundry needs folded and handle it. You clean up today's adventure before starting tomorrow's. You keep track of preschool pick-up, anticipate what the kids need, communicate well with parents, and bring a calm confidence to the inevitable unpredictability of life with little ones.

You'll need to be comfortable driving the children to preschool and activities, sharing the house with parents who sometimes work from home, and having a large furry coworker nearby.

Above all, you're dependable, loving, playful, and looking for your family—not just your next job.

If you're hoping to find a place where you'll be trusted to do what you do best, appreciated for the role you play, and have two pretty adorable reasons to look forward to Monday morning, we'd love to meet you.
