WHO/WHAT: Are you a dependable, soft-spoken nanny who’s perfectly content to spend hours people-watching at the park? Do you always remember to wear a helmet when on wheels, sunscreen when playing outdoors, and a gentle smile when delivering discipline? We have a returning family of five we adore for a role that could last for half a decade or more! Mom and Dad are both medical professionals who’ll know their schedules 6-12 months in advance and will need you to occasionally cover some rare evenings and weekends. Although flexibility for this role is required, you’ll primarily work Monday to Friday between 7 am to 5 pm. During that time, you’ll support these busy parents with their three incredible children. In school most of the day, the six-year-old brother brings the fun wherever he goes and is all about cartoons and action figures. Sweet-yet-strong-willed, his four-year-old sister is a quick-change artist who’ll switch multiple outfits throughout the same day and who will be in Pre-K four half days per week. These two have a ton of energy, and their baby brother, who’s turning two this summer, tries his best to keep up and find his voice. Playful and affectionate, the little fellow will be your main squeeze as you hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and guide this cutie pie’s naps. While the young gentleman snoozes, you’ll help with the children’s laundry, vacuum, and meal prep—including appropriately cutting up food into toddler-sized portions—plus assist with general tidying up. You’ll also help the kids with their homework afterschool. There are no pets and no allergies, but please avoid strong-smelling perfumes. You will need to know how to swim and be a safe driver as you’ll manage school and activity pick-ups and drop-offs. Snowball fight alert! Make sure you have a good pair of snow pants because one thing ALL the kids love is being outdoors and—even in winter—you’ll spend tons of time playing at the park. Their current nanny, with whom they’ve shared five fantastic years, recently accepted another role when the family anticipated a move. Now staying in Pittsburgh, they’re seeking their next long-term nanny partner.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS… MILD-MANNERED! Using a patient and gentle communication style, you have a calm presence and never feel the need to raise your voice to deliver a message. Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and with plenty of common sense, these parents can count on you to show up and remain attentive for hazards. This especially includes preventative safety measures like optimally installed child car seats, frequently applied sunscreen, and properly secured helmets. These parents would love to be kept updated with photos of all the silly fun you’re having throughout the day. In addition to being dependable, you’re also flexible and adaptable to changes in schedule. So if you’re kind and seek to build a meaningful, long-term bond with a family then APPLY TODAY and secure a quality role for potentially the next half a decade.
