WHO/WHAT: What's the recipe for a great nanny job? Start with two genuinely kind parents who are endlessly curious. One took a sabbatical to work in restaurants, bakeries, and on a farm simply for the love of learning. The other spent maternity leave sewing tiny baby clothes and making music between naps. The only thing missing from their recipe is a nanny who's just as excited to help their curious little boy discover the world.
Their four-month-old son is already proving he inherited his parents' sense of wonder. He loves being outside (the hotter and more humid, the happier he seems!), is endlessly observant, and is determined not to miss a single thing happening around him. His favorite sidekick? The family's sweet English Cream Golden Retriever, who happily follows him everywhere and patiently supervises every backyard adventure.
Both parents truly view a nanny as a teammate. They're not looking to supervise every moment—they're looking to build a relationship rooted in trust, communication, and mutual respect. They want someone who feels comfortable in their home, enjoys being part of their family's rhythm, and knows they're genuinely appreciated. Both parents primarily work from home, though Dad spends a few days each week in the office and Mom occasionally travels for work. Since Dad is currently immunocompromised, they're especially looking for someone who's thoughtful and communicative when it comes to illness.
This family appreciates a routine but believes the best days leave room for flexibility, curiosity, and following their little one's lead. During naps, you'll help with children's laundry, bottle washing, and light dinner prep so evenings feel a little easier for everyone. More than anything, they're hoping to find someone who'll become a trusted part of this special season—celebrating firsts, encouraging curiosity, and helping their little boy grow into the kind, confident person they already know he's becoming.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS…THOUGHTFUL. Dependable, intentional, and an excellent communicator, you believe the best nanny-family relationships are built on trust. You don't just care for children—you care about helping the entire family thrive.
You're equally happy reading books on the floor, soaking up sunshine in the backyard with a curious baby and his canine sidekick, or finding little ways to make the day run more smoothly. You delight in slowing down, following a curious little boy's lead, and noticing both the little moments that make these early years so special and the small things that make life easier for busy parents.
Most importantly, you're looking for more than your next nanny job. You're hoping to become a trusted part of a family's story—and this family is hoping for exactly the same thing.
