WHO/WHAT: Are you the kind of person who notices the dishwasher is clean, the dog needs a walk, and tomorrow’s dinner could use a head start…all before anyone asks? If so, keep reading—because this role is equal parts household rhythm-keeper and after-school magic maker.
This is a returning East Wind Nannies family (we placed their previous nanny, whom they adored for years), and they’re ready to welcome their next right-hand person. Both parents have full, busy careers and are looking for someone who can step in during the afternoons to keep life running smoothly—so when they’re done working, they can be fully present with their kids. Your day will typically begin with a couple of hours of household management: tidying, laundry a few times a week, loading/unloading the dishwasher, light weekly resets (think kitchen touch-ups, bathroom wipe-downs), restocking household items, watering plants, managing small errands, and helping with simple meal prep so dinner comes together easily. There’s also a “big picture” element—keeping a running list of home needs, scheduling appointments, rotating outgrown clothes or toys, and just generally staying a step ahead. Around school pickup time, you’ll shift into nanny mode—grabbing Anna and Will (a short walk or quick drive), then helping them ease into the afternoon. Some days that looks like park time and getting the wiggles out, other days it’s homework, piano practice, or creative play at home. Anna is active, independent, and getting into reading and cooking, while Will is your classic five-year-old—think Legos, Hot Wheels, and art projects. They play well together and thrive with someone who brings both warmth and steady guidance. There’s flexibility built into this role: occasional later evenings when a parent is traveling, potential date nights, and slightly different rhythms during summer (camp pickups vs. school schedule). A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are ideal, though many locations are close by.
This is a really special family—kind, respectful, and deeply appreciative of the people who support their home. They’re not looking for perfection; they’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and takes pride in creating a calm, well-run household.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS…PROACTIVE. You don’t wait to be told—you anticipate. You’re organized, efficient, and take real ownership of your role. You’re just as comfortable folding laundry and prepping ingredients as you are connecting with kids and guiding their afternoons. You communicate clearly, show up reliably, and bring a positive, personable energy into the home. You understand how to read the room—when kids need engagement and when they need space to decompress. Above all, you’re trustworthy, kind, and someone this family can grow with over time.
If you love creating order, building relationships, and being that steady, “everything runs better when you’re here” presence…we’d love to meet you. APPLY today ✨
