WHO/WHAT: If you’re the kind of overnight newborn specialist whose presence alone lowers the heart rate in a room… this family has been hoping for you. A warm, thoughtful Upper Arlington family is preparing to welcome their second baby in early July. They’re seeking an experienced, fully independent overnight nanny to support them for approximately 12 weeks, with the possibility of extending into mid-October if it feels right. This position is exclusively focused on overnight newborn care. Their three-year-old will continue with their usual routine and is not included in this role.
This isn’t their first baby — and because of that, they understand how meaningful the right overnight support can be. Mom and Dad are approaching this season with honesty and intention, and they are thoughtfully building a support system that feels calm and steady from the start.
They aren’t simply looking for “help.” They’re hoping for someone who gently steps in, reads the room, and brings quiet confidence to the overnight hours. You’ll feed, burp, change, soothe, and guide baby back to sleep with patience and care, using safe, evidence-based practices to nurture healthy sleep foundations. Mom does not plan to breastfeed, and the goal is predictable, restorative rest for the entire household.
While baby sleeps, you’ll wash and sterilize bottles, keep nursery spaces tidy and stocked, and maintain a log of feedings and diaper changes. No additional household tasks — just a focus on baby and maintaining a peaceful environment.
A bed is provided in the nursery so you can rest when baby rests. This family understands that sustainable overnight care means caring for the caregiver, too.
Above all, they value calm, kindness, competence, and dependability.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS… GENTLY STEADY. Not flashy. Not performative. Just experienced and quietly confident. You are:
- Experienced in overnight newborn care
- Comfortable building healthy sleep foundations
- Knowledgeable about safe sleep and infant development
- Adaptable, intuitive, and emotionally intelligent
- Professional, respectful and collaborative
- Exceptionally reliable and punctual
- Trustworthy, grounded, and full of common sense
You understand postpartum dynamics. You know when reassurance is needed — and when space is the greatest gift. You don’t need constant direction, but you communicate thoughtfully and collaboratively.
If you are the kind of newborn specialist who leaves families feeling supported, steadier, and truly rested… If you thrive in the quiet hours and believe those early weeks matter deeply…We would love to hear from you. 🌙💛 Life gets sweeter from here.
